Tibetan Homes Foundation, Mussoorie

Head office of the Tibetan Homes Foundation is situated in the outskirts of Mussoorie and the area is referred to as Happy Valley. It has one main office headed by General Secretary, and Asst. General Secretary followed by different departments to effectively cater to the needs of children at THF as a whole. At present, THF Mussoorie has a total of “2865 children with 260 Staffs including teachers, office staffs, foster parents, dispensary, and vocational training centre staffs.

Functioning of Head Office
Education: It is a senior secondary school with classes from Nursery to Class-XII divided into four different sections for better management. Montessori section, junior section, senior school section and Special Classes.

Homes: Children under care at Tibetan Homes Foundation, Mussoorie were distributed in 29-larger homes looked after by a couple parent. Each home comprises of 40 to 45 children.

SOS Children’s Home: SOS children’s home is specially designed for those children who are either orphan or semi-orphan and needs a special care. We have "12-SOS homes" with 10 to 12 children in each SOS home.

Hostels: Boys and Girls hostel are the two hostels where our students studying from class-X and XII stays.

Vocational Training Centre: Students who are academically weaker and interested in Arts and tailoring are centered in our Vocational Training centre.

Dispensary: Tibetan Homes Foundation, Mussoorie have one small dispensary with 6-para medical staffs. One visiting doctor is available twice a week where major cases are referred to the community hospital.
