Tibetan Homes Foundation (THF) is a charitable institute dedicated to working for the care of orphans, semi orphan, and destitute Tibetan refugee children. The Foundation is registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 (Punjab Amendment) Act in the year 1963.

The core objective of THF is to impart to the children modern education combined with Tibetan language, cultural values and traditions. THF has a senior secondary school at Mussoorie, a secondary school at Rajpur, a middle school at (Gohri Mafi)Rishikesh, three Montessori (Pre-primary) schools at each of these schools. The school is a affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) India. The entire school system is nomenclature as Hermann Gmeiner Tibetan Homes School.

There are destitute elders in the Tibetan diaspora who are vulnerable because they have no one to support them in the twilight of their lives and there are elders whose children are not able to take care of their aged parent on account of their own economic condition or health reasons. There are also some families who face economic hardship of such elders and families, THF renders some assistance. Currently, there are 82 elders and 15 children on the program.
