We are happy to present you with this four month report with highlights of activities which would be of interesting reading to you and would also update you with life at THF. This occasion is also a time to mourn as we report to you that the recent earthquake (April 14, 2010) in Tibet has been devastating.

Highlights: September to December, 2009

Career Exhibition: The School's career counselor Mr. Sonam Dhakpa la organized a career exhibition in the month of September and October in the two Schools at Mussoorie and Rajpur respectively. Students from Class V to XII were invited to the exhibition. The exhibition gave information to children on the different career opportunities

1st Terminal Examinations - The first terminal examinations at Tibetan Homes School in Mussoorie began from May 25th and concluded on the 30th of May.

The first four months of year 2009 have gone by and we are happy to report to you the highlights. We also take this opportunity to inform you that with the unrest in Tibet last March not many new children from Tibet have come to THF in this reporting period. Therefore this year, the category of Tibetan children from destitute families who had always been kept at waitlist due to the priority given to the children from Tibet was admitted. A total of 151 such students were given admission.

Highlights - September to December, 2008

With September began the final session for the children at the school for the academic year 2008. In the school the first event in this month was the celebration of the Tibetan Democracy day during which a formal program was held in the auditorium with Tibetan cultural presentations and speeches from honorable guests.
