Parents Teachers Association (PTA)

	   - The Parents Teachers Association (PTA) in Dekyiling recognizes the vital role that parenting plays in the education and overall development of children. It fosters a collaborative approach, bringing together teachers, parents, the settlement office, and the wider settlement to make education a deeply integrated part of the community.

	    - The PTA firmly opposes the "banking concept" of education, where knowledge is deposited from teachers to students in a one-way, top-down process that lacks dialogue and interaction. This anti-dialogic approach to learning reduces education to a mere transfer of information. Instead, the PTA emphasizes creating an active, two-way exchange between teachers, parents, and students. By fostering open communication, the PTA ensures that the community stands rock-solid behind the children's learning and development, creating a more engaging and collaborative environment for growth.

	   - The PTA consists of a wide representation from the community, including the settlement officer, the school head, four parent representatives, and two teachers. Elections for the teachers and parent representatives are held every two years. Through this collaborative model, the PTA ensures education is a shared, inclusive process that benefits all.
